Description: This beautiful horse trail follows forest roads and some single track providing riders with spectacular views of the mountains and old growth Ponderosa pine forests. It integrates nicely with the newly constructed Jimerson Equestrian Trail providing riders with multiple loop options. All horse trails in this area are marked with white diamonds.
Access: There is horse trailer parking located at the Trailhead on Edgington Rd. just off of highway 242. This parking area also serves the Elk Ranch Trail. The best option for parking and access is the Sisters Cow Camp, a beautiful and well maintained horse camp located off of forest road 15. Both the Metolius/Windego and Jimerson Trails originate from this camp. Restrooms and corrals are located at the camp as well. Please note: there is no parking in the privately owned community of Crossroads.
